    Post DV EDITING ???

    Win. 2000/
    Pent.III 933
    512 Ram
    Pinnacle DV500+
    Adobe Premier 6.0
Why can I only capture 3.86 gig segments at a time?
Why does the audio /video from edited DV get unsynchronized after a while when transferring
to VHS Via the composite connection?
Is there a fix to these problems?

first make sure that your hard drive is formated as NTFS and not Fat32. it does not help that you are using W2K if the drives are set to Fat32.

About the audio getting out of sync - it's not supposed to happed when you are playing from DV source to composit. but if it does then the audio will also get out of sync at normal playback to a TV.
Connect one to the DV500+ and use it as a monitor for playing the video out. this way you will be able to tell if the problem is in the DV500+ or the VCR.

Also make sure that you didn't made the sound out of sync by mistake in Premier.

    Thanks SCUBA,
    You always come through.

Yes I realised that my OS IWN 2000 is on a NTFS
but my storage files are on a FAT 32.

Since I had to segment my long videos I probably got the Audio out of Sync. It shows up on the monitor (which is from the breakout), after a while into the video.

I had the same issue too. Scuba is right - FAT32 file limit.

Just happy I was able to help.

It look as if the solution is also simple and require only one small command <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
