    Post Printer not being detected

    I have a windows 98se machine which has had a HP Deskjet 832c printer attached to it for about a year. One day recently my kids told me that could print antyhing. I tried to print a test page and it said there was an errror printing to the ......
    I borrowed a cable that I knew worked and tried that to no avail. I took the printer and hooked it up to another amchine and it works fine with the old cable. My LPT1 port shows up in the Device manager.
    If anyone has a thought I would greatly appreciate it.

    Corrupt drivers maybe try reinstalling on the machine or look for an update.
    I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people.
