I have a simple question can SOMEONE please answer?

In what seems to be argument after argument, I see someone refer to "yeah they arer just adding to their post count".....

Can someone explain that to me? I started up here back in the day where 100 posts got you 1 star, 500 posts got you two stars and such forth (whatever the amount of posts to get the amount of stars doesnt matter).... Scott eliminated that because that was TRULY when people just posted to add to their post count.

Since that has been eliminated for God (and/or Scott) knows how long, why do people keep bringing up the "just adding to their post count"?

I'm sorry but I had to rant. I had seen enough people pull that line out of their bag of tricks so much when its like they cant realize that that line is as "in" as parachute pants are....

BOTH ARE OUTDATED!!!!

Last time I checked you are either a member or a senior member or you are a mod or you are Scott. Simple.... adding a few nonsense posts aint gonna make you a mod or a senior member.

Adding to your post count or saying that someone that has more posts is automatically "smarter". Its all silly if you ask me.

It is rather silly, but if you ask me (which you didnt really) but here goes, for so many people to say that they dont care about post counts, a lot sure did complain about loosing some numbers when the new vB took over. Me personally, I could care less if my post count was 100 or 10,000.

Same here with only one exception: 500 or 10,000.

Why 500? Access to the SR of course (or is it coarse??)

A higher post count does not mean that person A is smarter than person B, but it does show that they have been around for a while. You may argue that the date that they started posting shows how much they've been around, but there are some that post very little, but have been here from the start.
