I think I'm going to wait for the super-duper version before I buy, but I'll rent the other version a whole bunch.

oh great 16 hours of stuff which wasn't good enough for the movie but can be peddled on DVD. It was a good movie but after three hours I was kind of tired of watching it.

Elb, where's your sense of wonder? That's what the movie was about, that and the awesome Christopher Lee. If that is his real name.

I am with you ElBatcho, I finally broke down and got a DVD player this month. Only because I am sick of poor quality and breaking tapes from the rental place. The last thing I am going to watch is the extra junk.
I am definetly going to buy this movie, but when you add all the other stuff, it loses the magic. I don't wanna know how it was done. I just want to immerse myslef in the story and make believe.
But yes, I will getting it.
On a side note, just finished year 3 of Harry potter, have to wait until the 30th for the 4th year to come out in paperback.

Don' t get me wrong, I enjoyed the movie and I am looking forward to the next one, but I never watch any of the extra stuff if it's on other disc's. I am lazy when it comes to watching movies and if I have to get up to change discs then it's not getting watched.

yup. I'll probably eventually buy just the standalone movie, but I really don't need another 12 hours of stuff. It'd kinda be like watching a "Behind the scenes" tv show. I don't want to see behind the scenes, I want to see the scenes!

See I really enjoy that stuff. I don't watch too many "behind the scenes" stuff, but sometimes it can actually be interesting watching that stuff, as well as the commentary.
