Perhaps.. But let us not dwell on what is not, and concentrate on what is.
BTW, modville will open before any chance of the SR opens. permissions will need to be set and so forth. This is a new system for Scott and he needs to learn how to administer it properly. Now throw that in with his already busy schedual....
Well, i'm not expecting it anytime soon.

Neither am I, and I realize Scott has a lot of work ahead of him - maybe he could hire a temp - that is what I would do, but then who knows.
Fact is, even though I understand it is a low priority and perhaps he may have decided not to reopen it at all. But I miss the SR and I don't see anything wrong with mentioning it once or twice a week.
What is the old saying – The squeaky wheel gets the oil first?
Hey, it doesn’t hurt to try.

Re: If the SR had been reopened. . .
Actually I think it would have been worse if that post was in the SR
When happilyinlove came to trace the referral site, she would have been met with SR security, causing her to possibly write to Scott or internet.com - it is much better that her curiousity was quickly and easily satisfied.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

Well NooNoo.... (playing devils advocate....) it could have possibly went either way.
Reason I say that is the way Happilyinlove handled the whole thing. It didnt seem as if she was majorly torqued out of shape especially when she commented on whoever said something about "hillbilly".
But I do truly miss the Steam Room myself and do truly hope it does come back soon. I truly understand about Scott having to set the permissions and all. I just hope that it will come back. After all, peace was reestablished and people were getting along great before the big change.
My two copper pieces.
If it aint broke, TWEAK it!
When in doubt, throw it out!!

I don't see what's so bad about that topic. So the woman came on here and explained herself & her site. She wasn't too confrontational about it, and everyone here for the most part was polite to her & respectful.
I do still find her site disturbing - nothing's going to change that - but I do at least see where she's coming from & have a better understanding of her situation now.

Yea, if the SR was open, then maybe no one would have to feel bad about what they said, or even worse, stand up for what they said. Then we could have gotten a hundred posts telling us how an adult is suppossed to act, followed by fifteen different threads about lunch, follow this word and a picture of a well-hung squirrel in order to push in disagreements off of the main page.
Dang, I am so grumpy on monday mornings.

I'm one of those tell you how to act people but I never post about lunch. I think the people who post about lunch should respect the feelings of the lunchless and those of us on diets as it's very unfair to all of us.

Yea, if the Sr was still open, we could live happily fighting, spamming, and wasting our time. How I miss the Sr.

Cry, Cry, Cry. Nobody makes me do anything. Nobody MAKES you cry over the lack of a steam room. But you do anyways don't you? What, you're so sad because you can't paste links to you're pictures anymore? Awwww..... That's so sad. Poor Spiffy can't find nasty pictures off the internet, then cut and paste the links and boost his ego when others laugh. So sad. Well, keep on crying, because the Steam Room's gone and it's not comming back for a long time. If ever.
