What windows version are you using? USB support is only from 95 osr2 upwards...

This seems to be a motherboard made by winco or FYI which is now out of business... Are there usb ports on the back of the machine? If there are and they are working and enabled inbios then you should be fine, unless you have windows 95 a or 95b or NT which do not support usb ports.

    Thanks for your response !!
That machine is using windows 98 and, no, there is not any USB por in
the back. My customer wants to atach one, but I dont know if that is
    possible

    Thanks again

Yes with windows 98 and a pci usb controller, you can give it usb capabilities. PCI usb cards are very cheap and often come with other ports too.

And if you have the required open pci slot, get a usb 2.0 hub..around 30 dollars or so..might as well add the newest standard, since they are backwards compatible with older usb devices and don't really cost much more than a standard usb card. Either way, you will probably need your win98 disk to install some windows components after you install the card.
