Seagate Travan USB drive not visable
My ignorance of XP is showing again.
Segate 4.3Gb Travan USB drive with an XP Home install.
The drive seems to work with the Seagate software but
it is not visable in My Computer as an IDE or Atapi device.
Seagate site has no specific Windows XP ref. source(s) I could find.
Anyone know?
Post a link for me?
peace

Although I will admit Ive never used a USB Travan Drive from Seagate, I have used many Travan IDE drives and have NEVER seen them show up under My Computer. Only place I believe you should see it is within the backup software that came with it, and the device manager of windows.

That strikes me as odd
Hey Backspace, many thanks for your reply.
Still that seems a bit odd to me.
Using Retrospect software and I did not find any capability
to review tapes contents from within the program although it is new to me so it may be there and I have yet to find it.
I have a post into Seagate and I will advise any response recieved on the subject.
again, Many Thanks
