Talking We are officially IN (updated 8/8/02)

WOW!!! We have spent the first night in our new house!!!!

Morticia may kill me for not waiting until Wide Open West hooked us up tonight but, I cant resist.

We got three loads from her dads garage last night....
    Load # 1
Our bed, various clothes, and last LAST minute stuff that was packed up from the other place (alarm clock, kitchen stuff, ect), main TV

    Load # 2
Various boxes, Tylers bed, some boxes for Tylers room.....

    Load # 3
Various boxes, two other tv's, VCR's....

one of the computer desks, two monitors, and the two towers, and the computer chair

    EDITED August 8th, 2002
Since everyone else apparently understood why I posted what was in the first three loads and apparently one person couldnt quite grasp the concept, I will explain (so that if anyone else gets confused as the one individual did....)

I posted what was in the first three loads just to show the fact that the first five steps into the house was not me with a monitor, case, keyboard and all under my arm so I could hook up a computer before actually getting mine and Morticias bed set up first.

    Official congratulations!

Must feel great to settle down now.

BTW, do not install the gaming PC until you've cleared away at least 50% of all the moving boxes.

'Cuz you know that when that baby's up, those leftover boxes will remain unopened for months after.

Last load for the night.... the way we moved stuff out was a little easier and better than a normal move. It couldnt be on the first load since the first load was the last load to leave the original establishment.

A word of advice: change all outside door locks on the house.

When we had been in our house several months (previous owner was older single woman), we found out from a couple of our neighbors that were close friends with her that they had copies of her house keys she had given them to use to tend to things when she was away on trips, etc.

We like our new neighbors just fine, but you never know who might have access to your house, better to be safe.

    Enjoy your new digs.

Uh,... This morning I woke up and looked at my clock. It said 9:59am. I got out of bed and walked to the bathroom where I proceeded to go pee (lasted approx 20-30 seconds.) Then I walked outside in the backyard where I lit up a smoke and started the wake-up process. I sat on the bench outside and thought about how warm it's getting outside. After I was done with that, I took some dirty dishes out of my room and put them in the dishwasher (I also collected some empty Coke cans and recycled them).

Dirty dish #1: Mostly white plate with green flowers around the side.
Dirty dish #2: Samuel Adams glass that I had some old stale Coke in.
Dirty dish #3: A generic glass cup. Also had been used for Coke.

Oh wait a sec,.. my bad. I thought this was the thread where you detail in post format every second of your daily life. LOL,.. sorry about that. Anyway, congrats Taz.
