ok...as far as i can tell, have the DSL modem plugged into the Router (does the router have 3 spare ports?) if so, plug the three computers into the router.

if the router only has 1 port, plug the hub into the router (use the "Uplink" port on the Hub, then plug the comptuers into the hub.

Reister the MAC address of your Router to your DSL provider.

Protocols : TCP/IP on all the compters.

Extras to makee sure of: Enable DHCP on the router. Enable "Optain IP Automatically" on each of the computers.

hmmmmm i think that has everything.

How do I Register the MAC address of a Router ?

What and where is DHCP ?

Can I use the wizard in XP to setup and use the floppy disk I created on the other computers

Basically DHCP is a way of each computer getting in IP address automatically.

When you set up a network every device on it needs an IP address. It is like its phone number.

When you got your DSL connection did you get any IP addresses with it or is one assigned to you automatically?

To turn on DHCP on the router you will need to get into its setup pages. Most routers have a web page configuration setup. To access this you should point a web browser at the ip address of the router.

This is often 192.168.1.1 on new routers.

Get back to us with a little more info on the router if you can.
    Thanks
    Nathan

Take a look at these two sites. They should help quite a bit.
