    Looking up phone numbers.

We techs get asked just about everything. Customer wants to know how he can find out who a telephone number (in the US) belongs too. He found US Search which charges I think he said 35.00. Is there anyplace you can just type in a phone number and it will tell you the name of the person who has that number for frree?

There are application software solutions available within the UK either by BT [Telephone service provider] or by Info Disk and I`m pretty sure theres a Europeon version probably Germen also available, these are mainly used by companies for there telelsales side etc.
The UK version has reverse finding disabled for privacy resons but the europeon one doesnt.
You may find a similar one available within your country probably provided by your main telephone service provider.

Might also try, www.phonebook.com I find that it has most of what you need when searching for a phone number or who a phone number belongs to.

Wow, that's pretty powerful stuff. I can see the exact addresses and phone numbers for everyone one my street. Kinda scary...

That is why you will not find my phone number or address in any public (online or printed) phonebook.
