    Search function

Okay folks you have my permission to call me an idiot but before you do, realize I am currently on some heavy meds - muscle relaxers, pain medicine, etc. (I hurt my back over the weekend working in the yard). So needless to say I am not at 100% - and I know some of you are thinking I never was at 100%.

That been said I am currently in the process of rebuilding my PIII system, a brand new P4 system (will post the specs once completed), and two old PII systems.

Anyhow, I recently installed a low end GeForce 4 -MX440 on the PIII, (I have a Ti4200 waiting to be installed on my new P4system) and have been running some Quake 3 benchmarks.

Now on to the subject of this thread. I am trying to search the forums and keep getting the below message:

"The search term you specified (3) is under the minimum word length (2) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.
If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific."

In the search by keyword Critera I entered: Quake 3 brightness settings and search by username: Tazdrummer

I entered more than two words - what am I doing wrong?

btw - Here's the thread I was looking for, but searched manually.

Aaah is that why I am getting no help with chess?

As to the search - its a minimum of two letters, not words.

Looking at the search terms you put in, I would think you put too much in.

Personally I would have restricted the forum to Gaming and used the keyword brightness and just read the titles it threw up.

Edit: I just tried my own advice, it produced three threads, the top of which was the one you were looking for.

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

It's saying that you can't search for word that has less than two letters in it. I.E. you can't search for "a" or "3" in this case. Does that make any more sense?

    Thanks.

I knew the answer had to be starring me right in the face.
