Internet access via infrared?
I got a good deal on a Toshiba laptop (well, great deal, it was free ) with a built-in infrared port. I've managed to get my Pocket PC to sync with the laptop via infrared, but I was wondering if there are any devices or techniques out there to allow internet access via infrared, whether by internet connection sharing or connecting in another way. I realize it wouldn't be too fast and the range wouldn't be great, but I'm curious.

Some of Nokia's mobile phones contain modem functions and an infrared port, making them able to connect you to the internet by dial-up access!
I tried installing one of these suckers myself, on a previously failed installation on W2K, but couldn't make it work! The W2K crashed no matter what I did, but it was a pretty messed up puter! It should be a straightforward installation, as it came with autoinstall cd and everything! ...It was a Nokia something... Very cool solution for people on the move!

I think this is pretty much what I'm looking for:

I'm finding them for about $75. Definitely cheaper than a big wireless setup but the range blows.
