I wouldn't recommend powering up the board with those caps if you are at all worried about your components. The uF rating is more important than the voltage in capacitors. It's better to be off on the voltage a little bit.
If these caps are in a circuit that is frequency sensitive, it's hard to say what the difference in uF's will cause. Going from 1600 to 1000 uF is a pretty big difference.
What's it cost to ship something overseas? I've got a handful of 1500uF 6.3v caps lying around, they might be close enough to work...

Personally I would try to find 1500 Mkf caps... But I've seen also messages on another forum, what 1000 Mkf as replacement are also working well (at least with lower speed CPUs)...
I just found this list of electronic components suppliers in UK:
http://www.uknetguide.co.uk/Guide/PP...2032/Guide.asp
Check them out...

Yup, I was a huge Def Leppard fan back in those days. Still are one of my favorite bands of all time.
You gotta tease a little, squeeze a little, please a little more
Easy operator come'a knockin' on my door
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss innocent sugar me, yeah!
Here comes the revolution; time for the retribution.
