    ID10Ts everywhere

Geez, right now I'm on the phone with one of the hotels I support. They put a service call in, and it seems nobody there will bother picking up the phone. I'm sitting here listening to the PBX operator arguing with the managers and them all saying that they don't know a thing about the call and are too busy to find out. There are two hotels of this particular chain across the street from each other in downtown San Antonio, and I think the collective IQ of both places' management staff is about 50.

EDIT: This call came in at 5PM. I found out it was the AM MANAGER who first found the problem THIS MORNING!!!!!!!

    I've had similar situations.
A frantic call that a printer isn't printing right and I need to get out there and fix it RIGHT AWAY!
I ask how long it's been acting up, and they tell me between 8 and 9 months now...

I figure that they were in no hurry to tell me about the problem - so I'm in no hurry to get my bum over there to fix it... I'm thinking lunch break and a coffee break and possibly a weekend or two...

I like to refer to then as ID-10-T errors. Had a user that reported to me this morning that " the internet was down." So I took a look and configured the proxy server, told his it was OK and he proceded to ask me 10,001 questions about what I did and after the first question, it was questions about my answers. Only one solution....

I had a simular call months back,
    my response..

At this point the guy went pale and walked off
