inbox repair tool
My mom hosed her pst file in outlook and I need to run the inbox repair tool to fix it. Trouble is that I can't find the darn thing on XP and it doesn't look like I can load it.
Anyone know if there is some sort of other tool to repair the Outlook pst file on a PC included with XP?
Can I copy the inbox repair tool from a 9.x PC and use it?

I found it. You have to do a search for scanpst.exe and that is the inbox repair tool.
Odd they didn't include it in the start menu.
Mod - close please.

I have found the Inbox repair tool to be useless in about 90% of the problems. Our .pst files are stored on the network and a neat way of fixing the file when the repair tool sez there are no problems, is just make a copy of the file, rename the original to a backup name and then name the copy to the original name. I thing copying the file must fix the index in the file or something. Dunno just works, so I use it.
