Board Recommendations For P4 2.4 w/533mhz FSB
Looking to make myself another sysytem and have decided to go with an Intel P4 2.4 GHZ with 533 FSB, Antec 300watt PSU, moving my GF 4 Ti to the machine and my old GF 2 GTS 64mb DDR to my P4 1.7
The question is, what board to go with? I dont care about RAID, prefer to have at least 3 RAM slots (DDR ONLY!) Right now I am looking at the shuttle AS45GT But I am looking at suggestions.
Please try to keep it under $100

Your best bet is the ASUS P4B533-E. It uses in Intel i845E chipset and is probably the best DDR mobo out right now.

The P4S333 Series with the SiS 645 chipset supports the most advanced socket 478 processors up to 2.4GHz and beyond, including Willamette and future Northwood (0.13u) processors. In addition to supporting high-bandwidth DDR 333, unique MuTIOLŪ technology increases the bus speed between the north bridge and south bridge to 533MB/sec, for enhanced system performance.
So this board DOES support your CPU
Personaly i was dandying..

Damn nice board....
Dont have anything that uses Firewire or USB 2.0 or AGP 8X, the talking would get annoying, 6 channel audio? Need some better speakers for that. Plus its a little out of my price range.
Thanks all the same for recommendations, I can use em
