Need a place that repairs laptops-mail order- any recommendations?

I have two IBM thinkpad 1400 series (celerons). Both have blown hard drives. I decided not to replace them myself cause they are really buried in the machine, under the keyboard. Non else in my town will even touch laptops. Anyplace mail order you can recommend? East Coast USA would be best. Thanks

Admittedly, I don't know how difficult this _really_ is, but I've no reason to think you couldn't do it, techs.

Send them to me, I'll fix them for you. Located in Ohio, not east coast, but close.

Really tho, you should try to fix them yourself. Laptops aren't very difficult to repair, you just have to keep a close eye on what order you take stuff apart. Once you figure out the first one, the second one will be cake. Just don't force things apart, the plastic parts have a tendency to break if you muscle them too much.

Also pay close attention on which size of screw goes were. So far I have yet to find a out of warranty labtop that I was unable to tear apart and put back togetter.

Typically, hard drives in laptops are in an easily accessible place. Have you pulled the kbd off yet? IBMS usually have a pair of tabs on the top left and right and one strip across the bottom. Pull the strip first and the kbd comes right off (there maybe a few screws in the back of the case too.)
