    my parrellel ports is not working on any device

    I have P4 1.8 G and windows XP.

    OK, could you be a bit more explicit?

    What is your parallel port set to in bios? - What are the available settings?

    What devices have you tried?

    Does the port show up in device manager?
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

    thank for the relp, I try my print and other device they are working on my other computer. can you tell where in my bios will I fine that information.

    Depending on the bios - usually under integrated peripherals.
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

    this is what I fine:
    onboard serial port 1 [3f8h/irq4]
    onboard parallel port [378h/irq7]
    parallel port Mode

    IRQ looks fine.
    what setup and choices u have under parallel port mode ?

    (arrow down on it and

    U should have :
    -disable
    -enale (auto)
    ECP
    EPP

    try enable (or auto, aka os dependent)
