OS Choice
I had to dumb down a machine from Win2k to Win98, everything went fine, but I can't get rid of the options menu that shows up on startup....could have sworn someone posted this prob (not with the same os's) but I can't find it here. I'm having a hard time finding anything today!!!!

Did you check the hardware profiles within system properties?

There is only the Original Configuration within Win98s System Properties, and Win2k is no longer on the machine......

Check the boot.ini file in the c drive..it will probably have listings for both os choices..you can edit out the one you don't want after making sure the one you do want is listed as default

he's got it right.. your still using the 2k boot manager. you may want to also try a fdisk /mbr then sys the drive from a proper boot disk. should replace the boot manager from 2k with the boot files from 98 and it wil ignore the boot.ini file.
