    Auto off drivers

Hoping this is the place to ask, I installed Win2k on a Amptron M787 board and it does not complete the shut down, but rather stopping at the safe to turn off screen.

Is there a driver to fix this? Is it mobo dependant (I have other PCs with the same issue.)

    Thanks

    The board should support ACPI.
In Control Panel, double-click Power Options
On the APM tab, click Enable Advanced Power Management Support
If this does not work for you, APM support may be turned off in Device Manager.

In Device Manager, select View, show hidden devices
Under NT APM/legacy support, check NT APM/legacy interface node
    Enable node if disabled

Thanks That will solve a few issues for me. I looked at the power options but thought APM was legacy stuff so I ignored it.

And thanks for pointing out the hidden devices in the device manager. Why would they hide devices in there? That is a tech area anyway, so why foul it up and hide stuff.

    *&))^ engineers.

    Thanks again.
