install video driver in NT
I have a friend and his computer is running NT 4.0 sp6 and he tries to install a video card driver (Matrox G400Max). After the installation finished and reboot the computer, the card is not recognizing by NT and it keeps using the VGA driver. He tries so many ways to install the driver but the result comes out same. He even tries other brands of video card and it is same. He is 100% sure that the card works and the driver is correct one. Anyone can help?

Try changing it to a standard VGA. Reboot. Reboot again and install the card drivers.

he did try that. it seems doesn't work. Inside the display control panel, it shows that the driver is loaded, but the color and resolution setting remains in VGA mode (i.e. 16 colors, 640X480)
