Systema, it complements my standard dirty-tricks bar fighting nicely.

LOL! Great Monitors and 60 year old Okinawian men who can throw my 230lb *** like a frisbee and beat me like a rug!

    Systema?

Isn't that the Russian self offense/defense techniques they used to train the Spetznatz with? Reminds me a bit of Krav Maga, ***wonder if thats where the ISDF got it alot its technique from**...only super super nasty

Did you learn that in the UK? I don't think there are any "camps" here in the States.. I love Shorin Ryu, but I love to learn anything that is "practical."

edit me and my piss poor spelling...

Yeah, that's the one - there's about 8 places in the UK teach it, but I've got a mate who's well into it, so he taught me quite a bit.

I like it as it shows you how to hit someone, knocking them on there arse, unable to get up again, in one blow, with very little effort. My mate likes it because he's at the level og knocking people on their arse with it, without actually touching them

Most women are born with this ability, and trained to use it starting at a very young age. It is called THE EVIL EYE (or many other names) It has destroyed, cowed, and enslaved men for many a millinia.

Does watching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or a Jackie Chan movie count????

If I was then I could kick a ninja's butt.

Steven Seagal was just too much for me!!!

Well I got my black belt in karate when i was 16. I'm 27 now. it took me about 4 years of training 2-3 times/week. I really enjoyed it back then. I think it was more for self disipline and self esteem. I've really wanted to get back into martial arts, but haven't found the time.
I think the problem is either an ID10T or PEBCAK error

Interesting topic. I've been taking Kali and Silat for almost a year now. Before that I did some kind of karate, Shotokan I think, but I was much younger then. There is something theraputic about knowing that you could kick that users butt and have him screaming for mercy in a second.
    end of line.

This probably doesn't count as "martial", but I played full contact ice hockey for fun back in the UK, and have started playing again over here. It's great - gets rid of all of my work frustrations in an hour or so! I guess no one expects a 5'5" strip of p!ss to be able to put them on their arse
