OnBoard sound not working.
Ok heres the deal:
Doing an upgrade on a Computer with a DFI CA64-TC motherboard with onboard AC'97 sound. If you install the drivers, it says everything's fine (under device manager) but if you go to Multimedia in Control panel, it says theres No Playback hardware.
OS is Windows 98 SE . I've tried everything to do with drivers but still nothing . . . any ideas will be much appreciated.
Thanks

Geezer
Well we tried everything here....
New EPOX MB, No sound (Win 98)
Somebody else with onboard AC97 sound mis-behaving. Note the tip at the end we got to, eventually! , use the vxd based driver, so the 95 driver, NOT the 98 WDM based driver......
