Arrow Type of cable for gigabit ethernet

What type of cabling is required for gigabit ethernet? I would assume that you would need something other than cat5 or is it possible to use cat5/6 for gigabit transmissions?
My brain went into standby mode and I can't get it to wake up, is there a BIOS patch for this?

cat5e supports gigabit doesn't it? you could get some nice shielded cat5e.
