Quick and Easy
I was wondering when installing a mainboard into a new case. The case comes with those red washer looking things. Do they go on top of the standoffs or under the screw when fastening the board in? Thanks Guys

You probably should have set up a poll on this:
1. between the screw and motherboard
2. between standoff and motherboard
3. Oh you mean there is a use for them?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I personally have never used them, but have always wondered where they go.
Some people are like Slinkies . . . not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs

As a general rule of thumb a washer always goes between the fastener and what it's being torqued to.
So, if it's a screw/bolt being tightened into a dead hole, such as the standoffs, the washer goes under the screw
If it's a screw and nut, and the nut is receiving the torque the washer would go under the nut.
One of the purposes of a washer is to prevent maring of the surface by the fastener that is being torqued against it.
