    Unhappy Windows hangs in Word perfect 9 and quatro pro 9

    Okay everyone, I have a machine that is running windows 2000. Every time I try to start word perfect and then start quatro pro, the machine locks up. I unistalled both programs and installed quatro pro and it still locks up.

    I unistalled that, and then installed word perfect 9 and still locks up? I looked on microsofts website and they had nothing for me. Anyone know what could be causing this? Should I try and install SP1? Thanks in advance

    Windows 2000 is on SP3. I would:

    Format and Reinstall Windows
    Install all Service Packs and patches from Windows Update
    Install applications
