best hard drive
im trying to buy a new hard d and i wanna
know which one is better. right now im using
western digital 30gb 5400pmm oem.
im about to choose from western digital, or
samsung, or quantom. which one do u recommend?

Of those three Western Digital is the best buy. They are fairly quick, reliable, and quiet. Personally I like IBM hardrives. Thier 75gxp and 60gxp drives are quiet nice.

IBM drives are the best. I have gone through more hard drives than I can count. and I have never had to RMA an IBM.

wow, ibm hard drives r that good?
i never heard they make any hard drives.....

You're all right on about IBM. My personal preference is a toss-up between an IBM and a Maxtor. They both have a ton of industry experience and both are always innovating new storage technologies. You can't go wrong with either. I happen to be using a Maxtor now because I got a good deal on it. It's been running great for almost two years.
