Can't browse the network
I added a Win2000 workstation to a small peer-to-peer network. I can ping the other computers. I can manually map drives to the other computers with the command line. But when I try to browse the network I get the hourglass for about a minute and then nothing. All machines are on the same workgroup. All other machines can browse, it's just the Win2000 machine that has a problem.
Any ideas?

Does this machine autologin?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I have tried it with and without autologon. I get the same results either way.

What does the event viewer have to say?

If the other PC's are not running 2000 or XP then try installing netbeui on the 2000 PC, as you will probably find that by default it only has tcp/ip installed.

if netbeui doesnt help try adding the computers to the lmhosts file if you have a windows server add wins to it and either set the wins server manually in the wins tab or through DHCP.
