    Question ATA/100 and ATA/66 ?

I have a quick question; I have an ATA/100 Controller on my motherboard. Currently I am running one ATA/100 HD on the primary channel. If I add a second HD (ATA/66) to the same channel, will I still get the same performance from the ATA/100 or will both drives run at the speed of the slower one?

    TIA!
...Now where did I put that?

wot ive heard is that ure ide channel will only run as fast as the slowest device on the chain. what you could try to do (if possible) is just run the other device on the other channel.

Yes, You will still get the same speed.
the Low device spead is when you have one device in DMA mode and secong in PIO mode.
the ATA100 protocol support working together with a 66 one with no performance Hit.
