printer sharing winxp pro
I have a customer who has a home PC with XP Pro and a laptop with 2000 Pro. I am trying to share the printer from the PC. I am able to share the printer out and set it up on the laptop, but am unable to print from the laptop. If I go into the printer on the PC, I can see that the print job is there, but it errors out every time. I noticed that the print job is being sent as guest from the laptop. Could that be the problem? Is there a way in XP to allow everyone to print?

You say it errors out... what error?
Did you create a user account for the 2k laptop on the xp machine?
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

It doesnt give a specific error, it just says error printing and I have to delete the print job.
I'm not too familiar with XP, where do I set up an account for the laptop?

Same as for 2k... control panel (change to classic view) then adminstrative tools ( the user applet is well... wussy)
