There is very little listed under that model number... most Hitachi models begin CM - do you have a cm number?
    How old is it?

here is the Hitachi Monitor driver page - note the link to past products as well.

    dude,

if I remember correctly, you got a very speedy response from Noo Noo our most active member, mod, and probably best driver snoop to frequent these boards. she asked for more info. If Noo Noo can't find your driver without additional info, then it's not going to be found by anyone else without additional info.

you have to help us help you and putting up the same topic again isn't doing that.

Could you calm down a bit......

I DID give more information in the second post, I reposted it with the new information about the hitachi site because i realized that most people would just take the quick option and send me to the hitachi site. p.s. any way you could get a moderator to remove the first post for me? If I could i would. Thanks!

I will merge your other post - I asked you to help me identify the monitor more accurately as I could find NO cross correlation between the HM number you have and CM number that Hitachi uses.

A picture of it, or look on the label at the back... what type of connection does it use? how old is it? what os do you need the driver for?

You could also use the contact support at Hitachi and email them.

Replying to my question in the original thread would have elicited just as fast a response as starting a new thread.

I am also pretty sure it needs an adaptor.

I am also pretty sure it needs an adaptor.

AAAAAh that would make sense - would explain why the 3 decent references I did find had links to specialist adapter cables.

Additional Info you all asked for.....

1.) I had this driver as of last year, before I lost it, and it does not require an adapter.
2.) IT IS NOT A "CM" model monitor. I would estimate this is a 4-6 year old model. It was only recently that Hitachi changed their site to the new "if its older than 5 years then you are S.O.L." format. A year ago you could go there and get drivers for EVERYTHING they ever made. BUMMER!!!!!
3.) Thanks for merging the two posts, noo noo, i thank you!
4.) Does anyone think that maybe they might have changed the model number from HM to CM and the model number that coresponds would then work? (i.e. HM-4521-D is now CM-4521-D) I am checking these replys 4-5 times daily; thanks for your attention! Still searching............

    What os are you running???

    win98/me/2000/xp??

Won't using a plug and play or another compatible setting work for this monitor under display properties???

Here's a link that holds older hitachi monitor drivers.

    http://www.monitor-drivers.com/companies/459.htm

It doesn't specify your model, but some of those files state they support all Hitachi models depending on which os you are running.

You will need to register for free with this place to download the drivers.

    Hope this helps.

reply to last request for os version....

    I am using Windows ME.
No luck with the last posted driver site.
I had already dl'ed some of those drivers recently; did not work.
Am unfamiliar about what you are speaking of regarding plug and play.
    Thanks for your attention!
    Still searching......

Mind if I ask you why do you need those monitor drivers???
Is is because of refresh rate issues???

What I mean by a plug and play monitor setting is that when a windows o/s doesn't have direct support for monitors in its' driver database, then it can use a compatible setting such as plug and play monitor.

What does your monitor currently get identified as under winme on your computer?
    Look under display properties.

You could also manually select it to a Super VGA 800x600@75hz setting.
