Unhappy Tis a sad sad day in Seattle

it finally happened, the Seattle Sonics traded the best point guard in the NBA, Gary Payton, to the Bucks for Ray Allen. Although Allen is a good player, he's not GP. i didn't want to see the glove leave, but if it helps the supes get out of the cellar i can live with it. you can find more here

IMHO,it would make more sense if the NBA just merged with the WWF.

I would have to agree that Payton is world's better than Kidd, and Kidd is no chump at all. At least Payton leaving to the East coast will help out that division.

be here in Milwaukee, I'm not all that happy with the trade of Allen for Payton. Payton may be a good baller, but how much more time does he have? The dude's got myabe one more good season in him. Allen, on the other hand, is young enough to have some future impact on the team. Seattle got the better end of the deal.

i agree, Kidd is a great player, i just don't think he's a great point guard. yeah Kidd is #2 in assists but hes also #34 in the NBA in assist to turnover ratio and #3 in total turnovers. GP is leading the NBA in assists, is tied for #4 in assist to turnovers and is #32 for total turnovers. not turning the ball over and assist to turnover ratio is a huge part of being a good point guard. Kidd just doesn't cut it

    grover,

payton has got at least 3 more good years in him, but his contract expires after this year. for the trade to work the Bucks have to resign him, which i think they will. Payton likes George Karl as his coach. Bucks also got Desmond Mason, hes good now and he'll get alot better. yeah Allen is younger Payton, but he wasn't happy being a Buck and would have left after his contract expired after next season anyway.
