Change the Product Key on WinXP home upgrade?

Customer was running laptop with win98 and her son installed his copy of winXP home upgrade onto the laptop. She has now purchased her own copy of Winxp home upgrade. She has 9 more days to activate the one on there now(which won't activate since it is on her sons computer). How can I change the product key to her own winxp upgrade so she can activate it?

Open the activation wizard select phone activation and then "Change Product Key" (It may come before phone activation too)
