Radeon 9500/9700
Is it true the only difference between the radeon 9500 and 9700 is the clock speed and they sell the 9700 for twice the price?
Thanks

Please be more specific Pro or non-pro versions. Well I will assume you mean Pro.
The Radeon 9700Pro has a 256-bit memory interface allowing for 19.8 GB/s while the 9500Pro only has a 128-bit memory interface allowing for only 8.8GB/s
We all know how important bandwidth is.

Why do you say that?
And when it states the bandwitdh in the specs is that with or without the bandwitch compression?
Thanks

The specs mean without bandwidth compression. Doom3 is going to take every drop of memory bandwidth

BTW if you are thinking about buying a new card you might want to wait a few weeks considering that ATI just released the 9800,9600, and 9200.
