botched dual boot questions
i have a customer that is running Win 98 in there machine. he said he started to run a Win XP upgrade but changed his mind and stopped it before it was completed. when it boots now it starts like a dual boot machine, boot either Windows 98 or boot the Windows XP setup. can i remove the choice for the XP setup?

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. just remove it from the boot.ini file.
but I'd also check to make sure there is no XP setup folders and files hanging around.

get the 98 startup disk, boot from diskette
Fdisk /mbr
sys c:
Should remove xp boot files, then you may have to edit the boot.ini file as well.
