Maybe this is a good point to ask about those new Dell commercials.

Does anyone really believe them? Does anyone really believe there's a dude who makes computers -- "everyone's a custom job" -- or a really happy guy who ships the computers?

My favorite is the guy who goes to "Circuit Hut" at Christmas to buy the new computer, then calls his son at Dell to help him out. I'm sorry, but if my Dad was too stupid to ask me to buy him a computer from work first then I'd tell him he was on his own.

"Hello. My son works for a computer company and can get me a really good discount on a computer, but I'm coming here so I can pay full price for one of your computers because I'm a moron."

And while we're on the Dell subject, WHO GIVES OUT THOSE AWARDS FOR BEST SERVICE AND SUPPORT?

How do they judge? Number of calls taken? Number of times "sucks to be you" or "fdisk-format-reinstall-doo-dah-doo-dah" is uttered during a conversation?

Looks like it didnt pass burn-in better they fix now than send you a DOA

I do understand your frustration I work for the Gov and from when i get quote to all beuracracy takes like a month before they are even ordered. By then I could get faster for cheaper

No, testing has a check beside it, its at the boxing stage

Maybe the d00d with the big vacuum hose turned off the vacuum too soon and splayed your new box all over the floor. I heard one of the interns was injured.

I was gonna, they have awesome service, but alas they did not offer exactly what I wanted, besides, the ram in the dell is toshiba and so is the hdd.

Big Fu#$ing suprise, they just pushed my order back AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF, does it really take over a week to put my laptop in a box and ship it to me? According to the CSR I spoke to "yes!"
