    Hard drives bigger than 137Gigs and adapter cards

    I'm contemplating purchasing a 200G hard drive. Both Maxtor and WD drives come with PCI adapter cards.

    The Maxtor card is ATA-133 (as well as the WD I think...)

    My board (MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU) is already ATA-133. Do I really need this adapter card to use these large drives?
    How will all the racecar drivers measure themselves now that their "yardstick" is gone?

    Nope, use the adapters on your older machines.

    As far as I know WD has still not made the leap to ata-133 just FYI.

    As far I know WD is going to skip ata-133 and go straight to SATA. Just FYI
