    Boozing Laptops?

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

My laptop's my best friend. Everyday after work, we head to the bar to toss one back.

"When methanol is broken down it generates carbon dioxide and water. The water is used to dilute the concentrated methanol held in the fuel cell's cartridige and keep it at the right concentration. "

Hmm, wonder if we could have it run from the fuel cell over the processor before powering the notebook... Thought's of chilled methanol danced in his head...

Hydrogen: Explosive at the slightest spark
Methanol: Could blind you temporarily if you drink it.

    I don't know...looks pretty close

generate electrical power by breaking down substances such as hydrogen
breaking down hydrogen, eh? Wouldn't that involve, uhh....splitting an atom into quarks?

I think there is a debate with the FAA on wheather you can bring in a plane I guess a fear of explosion or fire hazard.

So maybe not that safe afterall

LOL someone hasn't actually ever played with hydrogen before have they.... If it was so explosive the hindendberg would have gone boom rather than just burned to the ground. Hydrogen is only explosive when it is at stoicimetric ratios with oxygen, otherwise it just burns with a cool little flame. The only time it is dangerous is when it is contained inside a sealed container. If the container has any leaks at all, such as a notebook with cpu ventilation, the hydrogen do to being so low density shoots up into the atmosphere. In chem we were burning it in upside down test tubes. I lit a tube that was full (about 500 cc) and all i got was a flame shot out the bottom.
