    Power Supply Units

    In the process of building a new computer at the moment but im looking for a good power supply unit! I have looked at the Enermax PSU's but a while ago I seem to recal seeing a blue power supply unit on a web site the price was arounf £120 and it looked really nice, does anyone know what im talking about????

    No, sorry the actual power supply unit was blue!

    the actual PSU, enermax's true power series is like that i believe

    D@ve,

    Pop round to your local Maplins. They do a wide range of "Gold" PSU's and I've found them to be very stable & high quality but they are not cheap!!!

    (I'm currently using a Q-Tec Gold 400w)

    Thanks for the advice, I have ordered a 550W triple fan PFC Q-Tec PSU from Tekheads for about £30!

    That looks a good deal I havent seen 300w units for that price.

    I would like to see Ruslan's opinion of Q-Tec, Tom's hardware wasn't over enamoured...

    Yes I did note the huge price difference in Enermax types but you never know.

    The PSU has just arrived and it looks very nice indeed! Already got one possible mod. The power supply seems to have 2 x 80mm fans visable so i will try and replace these with 2 blue LED fans staright away and keep ya updated!

    Typical, those were the power supplies I was looking for but i'll just have to mod my Q-Tec one instead. Thanks for the help
