Lose USB devices after every reboot
I have a Win XP Home machine here that loses communication with all USB devices every time it reboots. If I unplug the device and plug it in again, it works just fine. I have to do this every time the machine is rebooted.
Have tried several USB devices.
Have tried two different USB root controllers. One is a USB 1.1 controller, the other is a USB 2.0 controller. Both are integrated onto an ASUS P4s533VM motherboard.
Any ideas?

A few things to try:
make sure that if you have anything in pci slot 4, that it supports irq sharing, since that is the port that the usb devices share.
set usb legacy device to enable in the bios
set plug and play os to enabled in the bios (disabled is the default)
