Question 2 HD with the same OS?

i have here another harddrive here that i want to put in my pc, while a cd-recorder (that doesn't work properly anymore), goes out, so there will be 2 harddrives in the pc then. what must i do, just plug and go, or do i have to change some in the bios?
the main harddrive has win98se on it, can i also install that same OS on the new harddrive, or will there be a conflict.

First of all you need to set the new drive's jumper properly. Check whether it should be installed as Master or as Slave. Then you need enter the BIOS and autodetect it. Exit and save the changes and it's almost ready. Check if the machine detects it while booting. The only thing left to do, is to fdisk the drive, reboot and format it.

You can install Win98 on it, but you need to temporarily remove the main HDD, so that Windows will not detect the other version.
When done, connect the main drive and use a third-party boot managing software to let you select which one would you like to boot from.

Good luck. Post any further questions here.
