    AMD 2600 Barton

I bought a new PIB, AMD2600 333. However the OPN ends with 3D which makes this a throughbred core. I was under the impression that all 333's were Bartons. What's up?

I believe the 2600 and 2700 333mhz bus are not Bartons. I think they are the only non Barton 333mhz bus.

Okay .... we already did the answer

But for reference AMD - how to identify your chip(pdf)

Now if you have a read you'll find that the amount of cache (what we are really concerned about here) is also identified by the number (opn)

& again for reference 'Uncle' Tom explains - T-Bred vs. Palomino vs. T-Bird vs. (Barton)
