    Simple Menu needed

    OK.

So I created a base image for our desktops and laptops using ghost and sysprep.

Now once Windows has been installed and configured and the local administrator logs in. I would like a menu to pop up asking if this machine is a desktop, laptop, tablet. You choose what it is and it then begins installing apps based on your choice. The apps would be stored locally. Once the apps are installed the last command would be to delete the folder where the apps are located.

I think I can pull of the 2nd part but I can't create a menu using my old DOS ways. I have yet to play with WMI scripts. Is it time for me to unlearn what I have learned or can DOS still work for me?!?!?!

This is on Windows XP SP2.

    Saw this just today:

Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI for short) is a hypertext application designed for giving users choice. While Windows XP offers many ways of customizing the setup process out of the box, its major drawback is the lack of being able to select which applications an end user may install. In the past, end users and administrators needed to either download the files manually, or create overly complex scripts that could only be used once. WPI allows you to create one image, which can then be custom configured, and optionally, automated, so that end users can install any applications.

After looking at it, it seems too much for what I need. I was talking to my friend and he said that VB should be able to pull this off. Sadly, he didn't know of any script makers that would assist me with this. Does anyone know of a good VB script maker or does anyone recommend a tutorial?
