Adding a 2nd network controller cause WinXP not to start!!

Hi. I have tried this with 3 different PCI ethernet cards and it's always the same.

Having just one PCI ethernet card on my WinXP machine works great. When I add a second one however, it causes Windows not to start.

Any ideas why this is happening? I would really appreciate any help on this.

    Thanx!
    Phoebus

Try disabling the boot to network option in the BIOS.....

At what point does it stop booting?

Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
