Tradewars Server
Anyone interested in this. I've had a couple of offers to host it for me.
If anyone remembers this grand ole BBS game and wants me to setup a game or 3 on a server.
REPLY NOW!

TradeWars Client
http://www.swath.net/
There are others and you can use any telnet client like simpleMU or MUshClient or ZMUd.
That is the one most used and most suggested.
So far so good. The server is easy for GOLD it wants a reg code. Also we can do multi-game off one server now to figure out all these add in scripts. Some for player side some for players server side and some to give ya'll hell server side. Crystal entity sounds VERY evil

For those who are interested and want in a new game is just now starting. The first one will be a trial run and let us all remember the good ole days.
I am currently using attac to play since I couldn't get swath to work but
doing start | Run | Telnet
works just as well
matridom.dyndns.org 10000
thats 10K or ten thousand
on the port.
FYI A MASSIVE note of thanks to Mat for allowing us to do this.
Also we need to register this if we really start playing it and this isn't a spur of the moment do it a day an die thing :P
$25 for the game but to get editing abilities and run the aliens and gold and other script stuff we need $45..
Just a keep in mind 10 folks at $5 a is $50

See ya in the universe but only if I don't see you first

Port has been moved to 2002, originaly the port 10,000 was used for purly pratical reasons, Equipment has been rearranged allowing for a more proper number.
Trade wars will also be registered shortly, as soon as they get back to me actualy, so current game will only last till the reg codes come in.

it's an old text based BBS game that was very popular when BBS's where all the rage. Personaly, I find the older games are often better cause they concentrated on the story and game play rather then fancy graphics.

I wanted to bring this thread back up to the top to try and catch us some new players.
It's just soooo much fun I set up a server too so we could have more games/players and all. It's located at: laymanspc.dyndns.org port 2002.
Those who do not know, are lost...
