Can't find mobo drivers???
Just before the holiday, no s*&t
I've been looking all day for motherboard drivers for a HP Pavilion 6540C. The board is made by Asus. It is an Asus MEW-VM motherboard. I can find info on the board, but no drivers anywhere. It has an intel 810 Chipset. It's a Socket A(462) Celeron Processor. If anybody knows where I can find them, I would really appreciate the suggestion.
PS--User has lost the restore disk, so that is out of the question.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions, and have a great holiday everyone.

Look for the chipset that you have. The original Intel drivers should work. At least the .inf's should.

Yea the Intel 810 drivers will work.
Most of the time you can look closely at the chips on the board and determine what drivers you will need for the sound, and network, if the OS didn't load them already.
Indeterminism. There's nothing you can do about it.

Most of the time i just look at the chipset if intel, all of the i8xx models are covered by the infst_unu.exe on the intel site. There may be a few exceptions like server chipsets.

And then you can polish that off with the HP update: http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/softwar...=en&sw_lang=en (This driver has updated video support for Direct-X 7.0 Graphics Driver for Intel ® 810/810E/815/815E Chipsets Windows 95, 98 and Windows ME Driver Revisions (4.12.01.2641) and resolves Quick Time issues.)
If you want to order a replacement CD, you can do so here: http://h20015.www2.hp.com/en/documen...bph07143&lc=en (no NT4 or 2000 though).
