    Laptop IDE cable question

    I have recently started dabbling in repairing broken laptops, and a lot are missing HDD's. To replace them requires as well as the drive the connector to the m'board. Does anyone know where these can be obtained in the UK? Can find loads of 40~44 pin cables for 2'5~3'5 to connect to a PC but not for laptops, other than US site which charges loads for delivery?

    I've had a google and just found adverts for adverts...grrr

    However there does seem to be a few specialist cable companies around that don't have websites. Yellow pages may be your best bet? Or phone maplins
