    Works 3 and works 6 compatibility

    Hi,

    Does anyone know if Microsoft works version 6 or 2000 will open a Works version 3 database?
    I don't want to have to buy the software if it won't open the file!!

    Can't Access (whatever version you have?) open it ? Seems cheaper than buying anything !

    This refers ... (that's to access 2000)

    Hi Paul..

    Short answer is yes..but you may have to apply a workaround for some known formatting issues . and remember..if you make changes it isn't going to open in works 3.0 anymore..though i can't see why you'd want to If you don't have access, works is cheaper.
