Unicode version of DxDiag
Hi All,
Have a client that installed directX 9 on a WinME box. Now when you run DxDiag you gat the following message:
Error: This is a Unicode version of DxDiag, which only runs on Windows NT. Please use the non-Unicode version of DxDiag on Windows 95 and Windows 98.
How do I get DxDiag to run on this WinME box?
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

I would not install DX9 unless both the video card drivesr offer support for it, and they are trying to use a game that actually needs dx9. There is a program called directx iradicator that you can use to remove dx9, then just install dx8.1
OR... use the win me system restore option and go back to before he added it.
good luck--

Can someone point to the un-install program? System Restore is not functioning properly.
