I've been told by Hewlett-Packard, which is unable to tell me how to configure their own keyboard driver (for an HP Pavilion 8655C), that replacing their keyboard driver with a generic one should do the trick.

One slight problem: I've been searching, and I can't find any.

The only drivers I've found are listed by company. Since one company's Internet/multimedia keyboard driver probably won't work for another, this isn't helpful. Unless a particular driver can be reconfigured to work with other keyboards, I'll need some more help. Does anyone have a thought here?
